What started with one 10 year old asking how she could protect her beach has grown into a
youth-led movement proving small actions can create meaningful change.
IT STARTED WITH A 10-YEAR-OLD AND FOUR IDEAS.
In 2020, Caymus Maxson, "C.O.", saw a problem on her local beach and decided that being frustrated wasn’t enough.
At just 10 years old, she took four ideas to her local government to help protect the beach she loved. When the answers didn’t solve the problem, she kept going. Trash Turtles was born.
